ESG should not simply be viewed as a set of reporting standards. Underneath those regulations is an intent to shift how business operates, and, in particular, to prevent long-term economic and social disaster from climate change. If created and enacted properly, the reporting should be a tool to make companies more efficient and more competitive both now and in the future.
Our session will address whether that is working. We will focus on two areas: company transformation into sustainable enterprises and project financing.
Raul Garcia Rodriguez of EY will give us an update of how Czechia's transformation compares to other EU economies, and provide tips on how companies can approach EU reporting to make it a key process in their competitive strategy.
Sanaa Mehra of Citibank will provide an overview of the how green finance markets have developed, and suggest ways companies could use them to ensure better access to the long-term capital.
Pavel Sovicka of Panattoni will provide a current state-of-play for financing major projects in Czechia, and what the market does well and might be missing.
In person only. The event will be held in English.
